Can we trust the Bible?

One thing that came up during the sermon on Sunday was that as an evangelical church, we are people of the Book. Which is to say, we believe that the Bible is the very Word of God and so it has authority over our lives. Looking ahead to the next Lord’s Day, we will be exploring 2 Timothy 3.

There, we read the famous verses:

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 (ESV)

To help shed some light on why we believe the Bible is trustworthy for all these things, here are some resources for you.

Sinclair Ferguson has a helpful (and brief) explanation of what we should expect to hear when we read the Bible.
