Dear Brothers and Sisters,
In a recent blog post, Barnabas Piper shared an incredibly encouraging thought.
Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Now consider this command from a different angle. Instead of focusing on what it asks of us, consider what it says about God. If he is telling us to pray without ceasing what does this tell us about him? It says that he is always listening, always available, always ready to receive us.
I encourage you to read the whole post. It is very brief, but has helped me personally as I think about prayer in my own life.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Dan
This week
We begin a new study during our Tuesday Night Prayer meeting on Zoom. Depending on how our time of discussion goes, we’ll be spending the next few weeks looking at The Lord’s Prayer with some help from Dr. Tim Chester. You can connect via the Zoom link in the image below.
On Sunday, we have our monthly All Together Sunday as well as the first session of Hope Explored. Please prayerfully consider who you might invite to either event.
All Together Sunday is our opportunity to learn about Jesus all together. It is a shorter service with interactive teaching and application for all ages.
Hope Explored is a three-week course where we learn that a hope worth having can only be found in Jesus Christ.
