The joy of song

As I write this on a Monday afternoon, I look back at last night’s HymnSing and am filled with joy. It was a great evening where we gathered to sing God’s praises, hear the testimony of those who sing in spite of persecution, and to experience fellowship together.

Thanks to those who contributed hymn suggestions for our first themed HymnSing where we sang songs chosen by every generation in our church family. Thanks especially to Lesley Crumlish for doing the work of getting those suggestions from people and compiling them for us to put together the service.

We would like to put on another HymnSing before December. To register your interest, please complete this Google Form.

Coming up

Our friends at Greenock Baptist are running The King’s Club again this year. If you’ve got primary school-aged children, we highly recommend this. It’s completely free and the children all have a lot of fun during the week as they learn about Jesus together.

A Christian Book Bonanza will be taking place at the former New Dawn Bookshop (10a Jamaica Street) on Saturday, 17 October from 10am-2pm. There will be a wide selection of second-hand Christian literature available free of charge with tea and coffee available while you browse.

Midweek

  • Tuesday Night Prayer, 7:30pm in the Side Hall
  • Discovery Thursdays, 7pm at Pastor Dan’s house
