It is March and, as I write this, the sun is shining. Each spring brings us a reminder that there is life after death. As mornings and evenings grow lighter, we can be reminded by creation of the truth that we have come to know: that Jesus Christ has brought us life by his finished work at the cross.
With that in mind, we look ahead to what will be happening this spring.
Teaching Plans
We’ve been enjoying our trip through the whole Bible so far this year. It has been good to see how all of Scripture joins up and points to what Jesus is doing today through his people in the local church.
But what comes next? April brings us to Easter and with that is the opportunity to continue presenting the gospel to our community. We will spend three weeks being introduced to Jesus in a series called Meet Jesus.

We will have invitations that you can hand out to friends and family, inviting them not simply to come to church but to be introduced to your Saviour! Please do make use of the picture above to invite people online.
Then, in May, we will have a focus on the church and mission. To help us explore this, we will be welcoming some guest speakers to introduce us to ways that God is using his people to accomplish his purposes. We look forward to hearing from Good News For Everyone, CARE, and Tearfund.
We also look forward to our prayer meeting returning to the church building after quite a miserable winter. We are considering moving the prayer meeting to a Sunday evening at the same time in order to open up the building to new work on Tuesday nights. Watch this space for updates on this.
All Together Sundays
We will also be continuing to hold All Together Sunday on the last Sunday of the month. We’ll be learning about the gift of mothers as well as the meaning of Redemption and Commission.
Looking further ahead
The first two sermons that I ever preached for Ardgowan Square were from the book of Acts. Since then, we have covered quite a bit of ground. We’ve walked through Mark’s gospel, 2 Timothy, Ruth, and a large section of Genesis. We’ve spent the last few series doing more topical series. But in June, we will be returning to Acts. I am looking forward to taking a deeper look at some of the passages that I preached previously as well as continuing on the journey with Paul as the early church makes its way into Europe.
Sincerely,
