Where wisdom comes from

Yesterday, we began our summer sermon series looking at Proverbs 2-4 together as a church family. I highly recommend that over the coming weeks, you take some time to read through and think about each of the passages.

  • Proverbs 2 (6 July)
  • Proverbs 3:1-10 (13 July)
  • Proverbs 3:11-20 (20 July)
  • Proverbs 3:21-35 (27 July)
  • Proverbs 4:1-9 (3 August)
  • Proverbs 4:10-19 (10 August)
  • Proverbs 4:20-27 (17 August)

For those who were unable to attend, I’ve attached a handout that you can use to study the first passage, Proverbs 2. The four questions on the handout will help you to get a bit of a handle on the chapter and to begin to apply it to your own life.

This week’s notices

A reminder again that our weekly prayer meeting is on hiatus during the month of July as many in our congregation are traveling for various reasons. We look forward to studying the Lord’s Prayer again when we meet again in August.

We are hoping to have another baptism service in late August. If you would like to know more, please get in touch with Pastor Dan to arrange baptism class sessions or to ask any questions.

Finally, remember to save the date for 6 September. We will have a commissioning service to celebrate the Pastor Dan’s completion of the Pastor’s Training Course and to commend both him and the church to the continuing of gospel ministry here at Ardgowan Square. There will be a meal following the commissioning service and more details to come shortly.
